I tackled this as it was already prepared, and while looking at it I realised there would not be too many colours needed, and I had a good feeling about how to tackle the brown coat. A case of the right mini at the right time I think, as I await arrival of the remaining Court of Owls minis - as soon as they do turn up I need to get stuck into them.
As I do not currently play either Law or Batman crews, I can't comment much on his abilities, but he seems a reasonable offer for his Reputation and Funding costs, so I imagine I would use him if I start either.
BMG Painting Summary
BMG characters owned: 186 (added: nothing new, but I have an order pending)
Percentage of owned characters painted: 19.4% (36 models)
Great job Sir.
ReplyDeleteCracking stuff PulpCitizen. Absolutely love it. Just how a GCPD Detective should look. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. :)
DeleteFor a quick and done mini, I was pretty pleased with how he turned out (although it is hard to see the highlights on his trousers, there are some).
Very nice. I too am bemused at the lack of a Bullock, especially given that they have the licence for Gotham.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need a Law or Batman crew. Paint up Branden, who is a sidekick in the Black Mask crew, and you can use your Detective via the Corrupt rule.
Thanks Kieron. :)
DeleteNo just me then re: Bullock, which is reassuring.
The problem with Brandon to include the Detective is giving up my go-to Catwoman or Deadshot, or dropping 3 other Henchmen (most likley the decent ones like Mesh, Anatoly or Mule Goon) - not sure my BM crew will go that route although it remains an option like you say. To be honest, I'd sooner see some more Goons with things like axe or shotgun to add to the BM crew. That does not seem likley though. :)
Excellent work Pulp!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Terry. :)
DeleteFabulous job dude! A pleasant surprise!
ReplyDeleteCheers mate; it was certainly nice to get something else done and out of the 'painting queue'. :)
DeleteGreat contrast in such a dark figure. Love how you did the highlights on the piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much FourEyedMonster. ::
DeleteThe coat in particular was pleasing in terms of outcome, even if the lighting for the pics has washed out some of the highlights. :)
Wow, he just oozes character.
ReplyDeleteLike hé just ran away from a noir movie. Superb!
Thanks very much Wouter. :)
DeleteFor a fairly quick paint-job I was pretty happy with how he turned out. :)
