Scaffolding & Subway Entrances

Some recent terrain acquisitions to Pulp Citizen towers!

The figures used for scale are Gentleman (Pulp City) and a Hasslefree Miniatures Zombie.

Scaffolding
The scaffolding set is produced by TTCombat costing £3.95 including shipping (within the UK), and comes with a wheeled power generator (not pictured). For the price I am very impressed with the kit and thoroughly recommend it.

The build time was a little over an hour, excluding painting. That time included cutting parts from the frame. It is not hard to put together, but the cross-pieces give a few placement options so I tried to leave one of the sides more 'open' to make it easier to get minis in and out of the middle level.

Subway Entrances
These subway entrances come as a pair and are by Polish company Multiverse Gaming. They shipped quickly and I thought the shipping cost was very fair, and so I will be ordering from them again.

The price is €11.95 (around £8.60 at current exchange rate). I think this is great value for the kits.

The subway entrance kits come with card relief detailing which I feel really lifts what could have been very boxy and flat constructs. Build time was around 20 minutes per subway entrance. the most fiddly thing to do is glue the card in place, and beware that the card detailing is quite fragile.

Both of these sets add extra options to my urban terrain and honestly I think both are great buys and well worth the investment.

    1. Cheers mate; I suspect they will be used in a game soon. ;)

The card is the raised relief 'outer' part of the vertical surfaces.

  5. Looking good, I certainly would like to see all of your terrain in a display photoshoot.
I recently bought some Secret Weapon urban tiles on sale, together with some Multiverse buildings (Diner, Theatre and bus stations) to play Pulp City, Batman, Wolsung and Infernal on. I can only hope they will turn out as good looking as yours after I've painted them

  7. I was aware of both companies, but will have to revisit TTCombat, as I think their last release I was aware of was the Bank of Baltar. If you want some more Art Deco buildings, check out Knights of Dice's Sentry City MDF buildings. Similar in style to Multiverse Gaming, but prettier. Reasonable pricing too.

    1. Just been on TTCombat's site - lovely stuff and good prices too! Several buildings on there I could see gracing my table - and I've been looking for a reasonably priced gas station, so I have a feeling that's going to be my first purchase. Thanks for the tip!

  8. They look really good. I got some TT roof scenery from the Long Halloween that I'll be putting together soon, it's good to hear positive things about them.

    1. Thanks Kieron. :)

Overall I think the TTCombat kits I have picked up offer excellent value coupled with good utility, and that kit you won looks like one i want to add, therefore I am looking forward to you hopefully posting about it after assembly and painting. :)

  10. Very nice set of subway entrances. I can just picture a zombie hidden in the shadows for that extra ambiance. Heck, you should make a permanent one (i.e. a glued on marker piece perhaps). I believe it would look awesome!
